Tram & Train to Nagoya

We left Koya-san a day early, as we'd pretty much seen all we needed to in 2 days and we couldn't stomach any more Japanese Buddhist food - there is only so much tofu, miso and rice you can take!
We caught the tram back down the mountains and you can see the view from the front of the tram and a very nervous Shivani in the photos.
We were just going to pass through Nagoya and catch the Bullet Train to Tokyo, but decided that we didn't want to miss an opportunity to explore another Japanese City, plus we now had a spare day.
Nagoya is the 4th largest city in Japan and we were really pleased we stopped here. In the hotel we had a room on the 14th floor and the photos show the view from the sky lounge on 15th floor. You can see from the top of one of the building, the Japanese don't like to waste any space.
Nagoya has a cool restuarant/bar scene, with many serving international cuisine. We had dinner in a restaurant called Akbars, who served a very authentic Vegetarian Thali and Andrew(using his charm) managed to get a free glass as a souvenir.
