Freak or Unique?

We mentioned earlier about this thing the Japanese call "Cosplay" and they take it very seriously. Basically it involves people(mainly teenagers) dressing up in costume of their favourite comic book(Manga) characters. Some of them meet outside a park gate on a Sunday afternoon and just hang around. We heard about this and headed straight there.
These were some of the photos we took.........

We went to another area called Akihabara, which is famous for the latest Japanese electronics sold in mass discount stores. It is also a popular spot for Maid Cafes, where you are served by teenage girls dressed in saucy French maid costumes that call you master. They will even spoon feed you if you request it. Again, we heard about this and headed straight over. Unfortunately, the queue for these cafes are out the door and down the street and this was on a Monday afternoon. We gave up on the idea of being served by a maid that called you master and carried on our day instead.
