Takayama - Our Ryokan

We arrived in Takayama and found our ryokan that would be our home for 2 nights.
The photos are of our room, the view into our private garden, our ryokan from the other side of the river and the entrance.
Our host immediately made us feel welcome by showing us around and giving us a hot cup of "matcha" - Japanese powdered green tea.
The ryokan itself is over 100 years old and is a proper traditional inn. We were very lucky and had 2 rooms, a veranda and private garden.
As per the norm, the baths are shared, but we could lock it for privacy.
