Our 1st excursion took us to Nijo-Jo, a castle in downtown Kyoto, which is where these photos are taken.Kyoto is a mix of traditional and modern standing side by side; one minute you'll be walking down a road filled with modern buildings, then you'll find a Temple, Shrine, Castle or Traditional House in the middle.
Where ever we go we are always greeted with a warm welcome.
